A couple of weekends back, but I’m posting it anyway for memory’s sake.
I think the best thing from Lokal is their banana bread. It was loaded with good stuff, like crunchy macadamias, tangy yogurt, caramelized bananas and lime zest, and slapped on top a chunky slice of banana bread that was soft, fluffy and rich at the same time.
Then there’s the beef sandwich that the friends love. I felt it was a little on the dry side, but the beef slices were quite tasty and tender.
They also have a grow-up, atas version of french toast. That rum sauce was quite potent! Overall, the food’s good and the Lokal is a comfortable place to hang out.
Work is starting to get to me and I’ve been quite emo the past few days. Unfortunately, my best friends and parents have borne the brunt of my “emotional turmoil” haha. Hopefully things will start to stabilize and if it doesn’t, I’ll just have to get a grip and move on!
Oyster Diaries 
I’ve been wanting to go to this place for quite some time but haven’t had the chance. Good to know that the food is at least decent so my visit won’t be a waste haha!
